During the Golden Pineapple Gala, first place and the Golden Pineapple statuette were awarded to Sylwester Gadomski, the owner of the PoraWakacji.pl Travel Agency from Aleksandrów Łódzki. Most of this agency's clients flew from the Łódź airport last year.
Every year, the Łódź Airport awards the Golden, Silver and Bronze Pineapple awards to travel agencies from Łódź and the Łódź region that sold the most trips departing from our airport. Why do we give pineapple statuettes? This fruit is a symbol of hospitality, happiness, wealth and a successful journey. The sound of the Chinese word "pineapple" is close to "good luck on your journey."

In 2023, the best travel agency was Pora Wakacji from Aleksandrów Łódzki. 5 percent of all charter passengers were this agency's clients.
We presented the Silver Pineapple award to Sol-Travel, and the Bronze Pineapple statuette was received by Travel&You Agency.

The activities of travel agencies were also appreciated by the largest tour operators who prepared tourist offers and presented their prizes during the meeting - vouchers for trips abroad. - Coral Travel Poland awarded the Pora Wakacji Travel Agency.

Great 2023 season of summer charters
During the Golden Pineapple Gala, we summarized the summer charter season. In 2023, the Łódź airport served 59,000 passengers who flew on package holidays to Türkiye (Antalya), Greece (Crete, Rhodes and Zakynthos) and Bulgaria. This is the airport's best result in 10 years when it comes to holiday charters. Most people flew to Antalya, Türkiye - this was the largest offer from Łódź to this country. As many as six planes flew there every week.
The upcoming charter season promises to be even better. It will start exceptionally early, because you will be able to fly from Łódź to Antalya by charter as soon as on April 27. For the first time there is an opportunity to spend a long weekend on the Turkish Riviera by flying from the Łódź airport.
In 2024, there will be charters from Łódź to Antalya and Bodrum (nine planes a week!), Bulgaria (Burgas), and the Greek islands: Crete, Rhodes and Zakynthos. We;ve also got a new offer, which is Albania (Tirana). The long-unseen and much-awaited Tunisia returns to the schedule as well.
